Hotel Restaurant Twenty-9 Brings a Taste of Thailand from 30 July-15 August 2010

The Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri today announced that it will be hosting a Thai Food Festival at Twenty-9 restaurant from 30 July-15 August 2010, to celebrate the very best in Thai food.

With a fortnight of delicious cuisine to sink your teeth into, the Thai Food Festival is sure to be a hit with food-lovers.

Whether you go weak at the knees for Thai cuisine, or simply want to try something new, we recommend you head to Twenty-9 during the festival for a unique and exciting dining experience.

Chef Whitsun Jithkum and Chef Kasorn Ruengsri will be visiting Hilton New Delhi/Janakpuri from the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa to prepare Thailand’s most popular dishes, ranging from pad thai, tom yum soups, satays and stir fried dishes to popular red, green and yellow curries.

Chefs Jithkum and Ruengsri have backgrounds in all regional and Royal Thai cuisines and are particularly talented in the art of vegetable and fruit carving. The duo regularly travels to different parts of the globe to promote Thai cuisine.

At Twenty-9, the chefs will be showcasing traditional Thai cuisine influenced by modern culinary trends. The menu will range from delicious grilled lamb chops, duck and prawns, to steamed minced fish and stir-fried vegetables. The menu will also feature a Royal Thai salad with prawns. Additionally, the festival will offer an authentic pad thai recipe for vegetarian Thai food lovers or those who want a light, vegetarian noodle dish. Mocktails made with exotic fruits and fruit juices, specially created for this festival, Thai beer as well as cocktails and wines that pair well with Thai food, will also be served. The festival will feature hostesses in traditional Thai attire, a vegetable/fruit carver and piped music to bring the whole ‘Thai dining’ experience alive for diners.

All diners at Twenty-9 during the festival will be entered into a lucky draw, giving diners the chance to win two nights accommodation for two in an Andaman Suite at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa, including dinner at the famous “Thai Thai” restaurant. In addition, Twenty-9 restaurant will host a special Thai cooking class on 6 August 2010, providing interested parties with a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the two Thai chefs.
